Most New Zealand businesses are operating under considerable pressure, navigating a challenging trading environment alongside global factors impacting local operations. In this landscape, swift and accurate final-mile delivery is a vital point of difference, reducing supply chain delays while increasing supplier reliability and customer confidence.
New Zealand Couriers continues to improve our services for business customers and deliver a consistently high standard across the industry. These efforts are clearly reflected in the strong results from our independent network performance test in September 2025, conducted by certified market research professionals.
What was tested?
On 3 September 2025, an independent B2B Comparative Network Performance Test was conducted to compare the delivery capability of New Zealand Couriers and a key competitor. The objective of this testing was to monitor transit times for courier items and offer a base for comparison between two courier networks. Time of delivery was based on the tracking details provided on each company’s website.
- A total of 396 satchels were sent from a central Auckland address to identical business addresses across New Zealand.
- 198 satchels were sent through New Zealand Couriers and 198 through our competitor.
The receiving businesses were existing customers of our competitors.
What were the results of the test?
New Zealand Couriers’ overall delivery was faster by a statistically significant margin. On average, New Zealand Couriers delivered satchels to business addresses 2 hours and 8 minutes earlier (17.23%) than our competitor.

The data reveals a significant “early day advantage” for New Zealand Couriers’ customers:
- Faster Morning Delivery: New Zealand Couriers significantly outperformed our competitor early in the day, with 57% of items delivered by 9:30am compared to our competitor 33%.
- Midday Performance: By noon, New Zealand Couriers had delivered 83% of items, while our competitor lagged behind at 70%.
- End of Day 1: New Zealand Couriers achieved 98% of item delivery ‘next day‘ or sooner, while our competitor achieved 95%.
- Reliability: New Zealand Couriers had no satchels delivered beyond Day 2, whereas our competitor had items delayed until Day 3 or later.
